Honda Car

Honda Motor Company, Ltd. is a Japanese multinational corporation primarily known for manufacturing automobiles and motorcycles. Honda has been the world's largest motorcycle and internal combustion engine manufacturer since 1959 and has a very good name in India too. Honda became the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001. And surpassed Chrysler in August 2008 as the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in the United States and sixth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. Honda manufactures and markets a wide variety of products, from small general-purpose engines and scooters to specialty sports cars, artificial intelligence/robotics research and released their ASIMO robot in 2000 which earns the Company an outstanding reputation from customers worldwide.

Honda Motors was launched in the year 1948 by Soichiro Honda. Honda Motors Company Limited initially started production by manufacturing motorcycles and now it has developed robots and sports cars too. Honda Motors was launched in India in 1995 under the name of Honda Siel Cars India Limited (HSCI), which is a joint venture between Honda Motor Company of Japan and Siel Limited (a part of Siddharth Group). Honda has also created other joint ventures around the world, such as Honda Siel Cars and Hero Honda Motorcycles in India, Guangzhou Honda and Dongfeng Honda in China, and Honda Atlas in Pakistan.

Honda also ventured into aerospace with the establishment of a branch GE Honda Aero Engines in 2004 and the Honda HA-420 HondaJet, is scheduled to be released this year. Some of the most popular Honda cars in India are ‚Äď Honda City, Honda Civic, Honda Jazz, and Honda Accord. The company also imports premium units like the CR-V from Japan. Honda set up its manufacturing unit in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh in 1997. Honda is not only developing technologies that improve quality, safety and are environmental friendly, but also conducting creative research and development by developing futuristic products. Honda is known for development of next-generation mobility products such as fuel cell electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles for which electromotive technologies will be the key with quick battery charging capability via household outlets. Honda has also ventured into the aerospace with increased aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.

The Honda Civic and Accent is amongst the top of the list in sales. Honda has always continued their proactive effort to develop products with high quality, high safety, and environmental performance.
