Toyota Car

Japanese car builder Toyota Motors Corporation was established in 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda and has its headquarters are at Toyota, Aichi, Japan. Nowadays, the multinational corporation also builds trucks and buses, alongside with automobiles. Vehicles were originally sold under the name Toyoda, from the family name of its founder. World's second largest automaker, Toyota stepped in the indian markets through a collaboration with the Kirloskar Group in 1997, launching its flagship sedan, Corolla. Toyota, the engineering expert, has offered the Indian market with its ace models like Toyota Camry, Corolla, Land Cruiser, Prado, Altis and Innova, Toyota Qualis, Toyota Plado. The production of AE passenger car was started and in 1942 and 1943, the company had started producing KB trucks and AC passenger car. In 1947, Toyota company introduced its first small car, the Toyota SA Model, along with the SB small truck and BM truck.

Toyota is one of the largest companies to push hybrid vehicles in the market and it is the first to commercially mass-produce and sell such vehicles, an example being the Toyota Prius. The Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has been a leader in environmentally friendly vehicle technologies, most notably the RAV4 EV and the Toyota Prius using hybrid technology or electric technology. Toyota is now working on their next generation Prius and second generation RAV4 EV both due out in 2012.

One of the other successful models in the history of cars was Toyota Corolla which sold over thirty million pieces world over and then Toyota was listed amongst the world's top ten companies in Forbes List. The company is also into motor sport technology, education, finance and robotics etc. It has vehicles in all categories like luxury vehicles, all electric cars, pickup trucks, SUVs and Crossovers. Toyota, the automaker launches yet another brand of its own, Scion, in 2003. Within its own car line-up, the car builder is considered to be good at joining high quality with affordability. Toyota is the second leader company in the world in sales. In its home country, Japan, almost half of the cars that are bought new are Toyotas. Besides the Asian continent, Toyota is also successful in the American, European and African continents and is even the car market leader in Australia.
